Even silence has its breaking point

Grace, a once-promising concert pianist who has not uttered a word since her fourteenth birthday, now lives quietly in the sanctuary of her garden, tending her flowers and plants with silent devotion. Her husband, Jonathan, a sacked schoolteacher, spends his days secluded in his shed, obsessively researching global conspiracies. During an ill-fated end-of-the-world garden party, a firework accident removes Jonathan from the scene, leaving Grace to become the rescue project of her family, friends and neighbours. As uncertainty over Jonathan's condition deepens, so too does the determination of those around her to draw Grace into their own dreams, hopes and expectations for the future. Pushed to the very limits of her silence, Grace's discovery of a long-buried family secret sets in motion irreversible change.
